The temple of Artemis

The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, also known as the Artemesium, was constructed in the mid 6th century BCE. It was located in Ephesus and was considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Until it was destroyed in the early 5th century in these Roman ruins lie momentous sites. This place is important for the Christians as many instances in Christianity took place there that carry great significance.
