SPOTTED #90: Miso Soup from a Vending Machine

Miso-Soup

While waiting for the train I SPOTTED this super funny Miso-Soup in a vending machine. Many people like Miso-soup so it was funny to see Miso-Soup in a vending machine. In Japan you can basically buy anything you desire in a vending machine.

I bought the Miso-Soup and tried it but unfortunately it was not very tasty. I assume that it is hard to produce a Miso-Soup which tastes great after a long time in a can. So better to go to a restaurant and enjoy a real Miso-soup made from good Dashi and Miso.

    I have to get over to Japan and see the vending machines for myself. Peter Barakan did a pretty great begin Japanology on them that I recommend that everyone check out if they are interested in Japan. That series in general is fantastic.

    I wonder can you buy X-box or a crossbow in it hmmm.

    @knozaki2015 - I love Miso soup! However, I can not imagine getting it from a vending machine. Half the experience of the Miso soup is the way it is presented and taking the first sip. Isn't it?
    It is interesting though to see what all they think of putting in vending machines. Ribs next? LOL
