SouthBound The Journey (On foot through Great Brak. Part1)
So we finally arrived in the village of Great Brak River. The town is 20 km drive from George and is well nestled in the picturesque garden route.
This beautiful Soutern Cape village is the perfect destination for the nature lover with a thing for little gift shops and restaurants.
The village is built all around the beautiful lagoon with views of the Outiniqua Mountains and the untouched blue sea.
We spend most of our days there soaking up the sun, swimming and vibing out on the beautiful beaches.
But when we did not go to the beach we explored the town on foot.
The bright colors of the coffee shop and nursery 'Black Vanilla' immediately caught our eye. The smell of freshly made coffee welcomed us as we entered into the shop with stunning artwork on exhibition from local artists. Through the back door you walk into the garden where you can enjoy your freshly baked cake with a nice cup of coffee.
Just a little bit further up the road we saw another very colorful little shop that we just had to go and check out!
The shop sold mostly antique and secondhand goods. I saw a couple of really nice suitcases that could work just perfect for my next journey.....LOL!
