India is like treasure-hunt box where as a traveller you get a surprise every time you open it either its a same place or new one which you want to discover with your friends :) I have been traveller myself for over 10 years now and I visited a lot of places and some of those places where visited 3 or 4 times but there was always something new I have discovered that I missed during my older trips.

If you have been planning to visit India for this monsoon let me help you plan your holiday better :) Dont just go through those travel websites which will give you all tourist destination and keep you away from the serene beauty of the places which should in your must to visit list. This are some of the places that I have discovered and visited lately which blown my mind.

Lets Start From South :)

1. Nilgiri mountains

Nilgiris is a paradise on earth bestowed with bounteous beauty of nature. The presence of abundant flora and fauna, old mountain ranges, gushing waterfalls, meandering streams and thrilling trekking routes of Nilgiris attract trekekrs, honeymooners, wildlife lovers and nature enthusiasts from round the world. Tourist attractions in Nilgiri are dotted all over its blessed lush vegetation, placid water bodies and majestic mountain ranges. Each of them open up to panoramic views of the entire region and give you ample chance to cherish the natural wonders.

Places you should consider

Coorg

Coorg, officially known as Kodagu, is the most affluent hill station in Karnataka. It is well known for its breathtakingly exotic scenery and lush greenery. Forest covered hills, spice and coffee plantations only add to the landscape. Madikeri is the region's centre point with all transportation for getting around starting from here.

Coonoor

Ooty

Ooty may be a bit hectic, especially its messy centre, but it doesn't take long to escape into quieter, greener areas where tall pines rise above what could almost be English country lanes. Ooty, 'Queen of Hill Stations', mixes Indian bustle and Hindu temples with beautiful gardens, an international school and charming Raj-era bungalows (which provide its most atmospheric accommodation).

Upper Bhavani Lake and Dam

Upper Bhavani casts a spell on all those who lay eyes on her delicately composed panoramas. The heavy white mist settles on a calm reservoir on whose sides dark, black hills edge their way in. This view from Upper Bhavani seems to carry on endlessly, until it simply fades into the far distance.

Upper Bhavani is one of those lakes that hold water throughout the year. It also bleeds into a sanctuary, spread over 70 square kilometers. The very presence of this sanctuary plays a large role in your spotting wildlife while here.

Doddabetta Peak Trake

This is the highest peak in the Nilgiri region and is about 10 kilometres from the city of Udhagamandalam or Ooty. The main attraction here is the center for tourists on the peak of this hill. There is an observatory on the top floor of this tourist center and there are twin telescopes hre. From the glass paned observatory, with the help of telescopes, you get awesome views of the whole district till far away places.

Toy Train Journey

Your journey to Nilgiris will not be completed if you miss this. Weaving amidst the forests, dark snaking tunnels, sharp bends, up and down the slope, amid the mist and fog, birds and trees dancing along, whistling, passing through the stunning gorge, sunlight dancing above and dream-like drizzling, the Toy Train is an experience of a lifetime. Apart from offering a beautiful journey, the uniqueness of the trip lies in the fact that the rail system is the steepest in Asia and worth a visit.
