Borough Market London! Feast for your senses!

Food markets are my favorite spots to explore when I travel and visit new places. It is the best way to feel the authentic atmosphere of the locals and usually are not that much crowded with foreign visitors as the main tourist sights usually are. In this article I want to take you to Borough market in London,UK.

Borough market is one of the best food markets in Europe. Located on the South Bank near London Bridge, it lures all food lovers with its lavish variety of foods from vegetables through cheese, to meats and lots of seafood. All you need is your empty stomach with you!

We wanted to go early in the morning, because well:
Here's a tip : At such markets everything is sells fast , so usually by noon there is not much left, if you are late.

So make sure to check the opening time (in our case 10 a.m. ). As we woke up early and went out and about, we did not have our breakfast at the hotel, and oh my, thank god we didn't!
Besides the various product vendors, there are numerous street food options to choose from!

If you want to start your day with something healthier, though, you also have various of options. Like the colorful variety of fresh fruit and wheat juices.

You can hear the calling of the merchants, promoting their produce here and there, you can smell the delicious aroma swirling in the air... It's the feast of the senses.

If you enjoy not only eating, but also love to cook the food yourself, you will really be tempted from the lush greenery of the local veggies.

Local produce, so carefully and beautifully arranged, that it looks like an art for your senses, for your soul!

After you have walked in circle for an hour, you have probably felt your appetite coming back, but don't worry, there's so much to explore.

Like the fresh oysters and sea urchins waiting for you to discover them just a few steps away. Surrender your craving and try them- you'll see its been worth it!

Well, it was time for us to go. But the 4 hours we spent at Borough market that day, were really really worth it. It's something different from the usual places you visit when travelling, but it really adds to the experience and trust me, you'll like it!
