WE WENT TO GREEN ARROW'S HOUSE!....HATLEY CASTLE! SO AWESOME!!
My boys, @hotrod, and his brother, are HUGE Marvel & DC fans. They have loved super heroes since they could talk! I think one of @hotrod's first words may have been "Batman!" LOL
On the last day of our cruise, we ported in Victoria, British Columbia. I knew that near Victoria there was a castle called Hatley Castle, that many of our favorite movies and TV shows had been filmed at.
I thought it would be REALLY cool to surprise my boys and take them to see it! When we arrived, I asked a cab driver how far away it was, and could he take us there. He said yes he could, and that it was only about 20 minutes away!
So we decided to go!
Ok, I have to admit, I was just as excited as they were!
When we pulled up, I gasped! It was AMAZING!
It looked EXACTLY like it did in the movies! It was SO COOL!
TV shows like Green Arrow, Smallville, and even some of the X-men movies were filmed here!
It was the school for mutants in the X-men. So characters like Wolverine, Professor X, and Cyclops roamed these halls!
The back of the castle was awesome too!
Even the courtyard and gardens were beautiful!
It turned out to be one of @hotrods and my favorite things we did on the whole trip!
