Trails: Pedra Bonita - Rio de Janeiro/Brazil

Pedra Bonita stands in front of the rock formation that made famous the Pedra da Gávea, known as the Emperor's Head. According to folklore, it is what remains of the effigy of King Phoenician, who would have tried to colonize Rio in antiquity.

At the top there is a large stone plateau from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of São Conrado Beach, Morro Dois Irmãos, Zona Sul, Pedra da Gávea, Barra da Tijuca and Tijuca Forest. The sunset is the high point. When descending the trail, you should know the free-flight ramp, where the delta-wings and paragliders that land at Pepino Beach in São Conrado are.
