Madison Falls & Marymere Falls, Washington (Photos)
After tickets, road delays, some frustration, and seeing the stunning Sol Duc Falls and Lovers Lane we finally got to head north on the 101 towards Madison and Marymere Falls.
Our first stop was Marymere Falls, which is one of the most popular waterfall destinations in Washington. The hike takes your around the beautiful lake for a moment and then you head into a cool tunnel that goes under the 101 (no picture sorry) and then into the forest you go. It is a beautiful short hike that is only 1.5 total round trip, but does have a gnarly incline at the end heading to the falls. Unfortunately the waterfall loop was closed, so we could not get the best shots of the fall at all, but did the best we could. One interesting thing is there is a tree that fell and is sticking out from the waterfall and the balancing act is just incredible.
We then headed just down the road a few miles to Madison Falls, BUT we got stuck behind more construction on the 101 and had to wait, but it was well worth it! The hike to Madison Falls in only .3 miles total, but the view is spectacular. The way the light was hitting the falls was just perfect and causing rainbow reflections to be emitted. And even though Madison Falls was a quarter or half of the size of Marymere, it was my favorite of the two hands down and a second to Sol Duc Falls.
And not included in photos, we headed to the nearby town of Port Angeles and the restaurant called Bella Italia Restaurant, which is where they go out to eat in the book Twilight which is one of @haileycomets favorites! So even with the anger and speeding ticket, the day turned out to be great!

Lovely pictures.
What is wonderful sometimes is the beauty we can find just off the grey road. You found this after less than a mile. Nature finds the way to share itself with us, we just have to give just a tiny bit of effort, and presto our awe inspiring mother shares herself with us.
What a beautiful place, it was worth the discomfort they suffered to get there. Very good pictures. Good post. Greetings.
Wow amazing travel photography.you made an amazing content my dear friend...
What a beautiful pictures.
I wouldn't be surprised if the pictures are even better looking than the waterfall in person. Great job!
Quite an interesting content, i love your pictures, nothing as beautiful as waterfall surrounded by greenery.
One of my favourite things about being in a place like that is the smell of the wet earth!!! It lifts my spirits like nothing else! Your pictures capture that "essence" so beautifully @mickeybeaves :)
