Plaza de Toros: Bull ring, Ronda in Spain

Plaza de Toros is one of the oldest and largest bull rings in spain, there is some debate if this is the oldest. It was built entirely with stone in 1785.

The Romero family of Ronda provided over 3 generations of bullfighters and the most important of them was Pedro Romero, who slew more than 5600 bulls.

The bullring has also a small museum and both are open to public.

Ronda is beautiful mountain top city overlooking deep gorge and the views are just spectacular.

It was surprising that the businesses were closed in the afternoon including the banks and they reopen at 5 pm, I think may be to escape scorching heat.
