Time flies, it is already late August! How many beaches had you go? Did you wave this summer?
Today I will share a famous waving spot in Hong Kong called Big Wave Bay to all of you!🏄🏻

時間飛逝，已經是八月下旬了！ 你去過幾個海灘？ 今年夏天有去過衝浪嗎？
今天我會在香港分享一個名叫大浪灣的著名衝浪熱點給大家！

Big Wave Bay 大浪灣

Big Wave Bay or Tai Long Wan is a bay in the Southern District of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern coast of Hong Kong Island, south of Cape Collinson and north of Shek O.

A hit with local windsurfers, and also close to the Dragon’s Back hiking trail. Eateries surrounding the beach provide light refreshments. You may also have barbecue there and enjoy the sea view!

大浪灣是香港著名的衝浪熱點，一年四季都是浪濤洶湧，海浪更高達數公尺。不愛衝浪也沒關係，您可以在海灘附近的茶座一邊觀浪、一邊嚐美食；或者到附近著名的龍脊遠足徑去走走，看一下好山好水好風光。

大浪灣泳灘現時是康樂及文化事務署轄下管理的泳灘之一，設有更衣室及淋浴設施，並有救生員值勤。泳灘北部設有公眾燒烤區。附近的大浪灣村內亦有私人燒烤場可供租用。
距離沙灘不遠處的大浪灣的北岸有大浪灣石刻，為香港法定古蹟。大浪灣亦是港島徑的終點。

How to go to Big Wave Bay? 如何前往大浪灣？

Big Wave Bay located in the Southern area of Hong Kong Island, which is next to another famous beach Shek O.

大浪灣是香港南區赤柱及石澳地區的一個海灣，位於香港島東南部的砵甸乍山以南，石澳半島以北。

Method 1: Take MTR to Shau Kei Wan Station Exit A3, and take No.9 Bus or Minibus.
(從港鐵筲箕灣站，轉乘新巴9號或紅色小巴，至大浪灣站下車。)

Method 2: Drive to Big Wave Bay. There is public carpark.
PS. You need to pay for the parking fee every 2 hours.
(大浪灣亦有公眾停車場，供自駕人士使用。錶位需要兩個鐘入一次錶。)

Following the guideline you will see there are some stores on the way to the beaches.
跟住指示沿路下斜坡就會見到幾間士多，下面就係大浪灣海灘了。

Big Wave Bay 大浪灣

The day I went to the Bay had no big Wave. Big waves mostly appear in November ,with easterly wind .

我去大浪灣的那一天沒有浪，都是與朋友玩玩水和曬太陽。 大浪主要出現在十一月份，有東風的日子。

BBQ Area 燒烤場

Big Wave Bay has 2 BBQ area, one is near the food stores, another one is next to the beach.( You may enjoy the breeze and watching hot girls when you eat! Isnt it cool? )

大浪灣有2個燒烤場，一個新的就在士多附近，可惜只有數個，要霸就要早少少。
另一個燒烤場就在海灘的左手邊，可以一邊吹著海風，一邊BBQ，重點是邊吃邊看美女！

Coke's Store 可樂士多

You may find that there is lots of stores along the road to the beach. You may rent the surfing board and lockers there. BBQ Food and light refreshments also provided by the shops too!

大浪灣附近有多間士多，除了有滑浪板、儲物櫃等設施供滑浪人士使用外，亦有食物及飲品提供；也可由士多購買炭、燒烤用具及少量食物。
我最喜歡的是可樂士多！他們的炒公仔麵是必食的～ 還要配自家製的辣椒油 （口水在流 ～～）

You may rent boards and beach umbrella here. Board around $60-80 HKD/day. Umbrella only takes $10-20/day.
你可以在這裡租借滑浪板和太陽傘。滑浪板只需$60-80一日。太陽傘$10-20一日。

I used to get beer in Coke's store too! Only sell $10HKD for a bottle!
我習慣在可樂士多買啤酒消暑～ 只是$10 一支。

Highlights of the day 😛

Usually I will freeze some fruits like watermelons and berries overnight and bring them to the beach!
你可以在去沙灘前一晚把你喜歡的水果冰起來帶到沙灘去～

You may have dinner in Shau Kei Wan, there is lots of food stalls near the MTR station! Don't miss the chance to have good food :P
你都可以到筲箕灣晚餐～地鐵站有很多好吃的大排檔呢
