De first time dat mi eva see yuh... My first trip to Jamaica.
I had to make a business trip to Jamaica. Although I never expected to fly to Jamaica, it was a pleasure being able to get to know this nice island and its warm people.
One of the things I like about Jamaica is the beautiful scenery. I will begin with Ocho Rios.
Ocho Rios is a port of call for cruise ships. The name is in Spanish and it means eight rivers. Ocho Rios is a town in the parish of Saint Ann on the north coast of Jamaica. It was once a fishing village, but now it is an area full of luxurious resorts and with a lot of tourists.
As I was lying lazy on the couch, enjoying the nice view from my balcony, I thought about staying at the resort. But hey, once you are in a foreign country why not explore around right? So we decided to leave the resort to see what Ocho Rios had to offer.
The ride through Ocho Rios was a pleasant one. The curved road is surrounded by big green trees. It feels like you are driving by green walls. This trip provides for a lot of oxygen for the lungs.
As if the ride through nature was not relaxing enough, our destination provided for a further stress lowering element as we came to the beautiful beaches.
While we were at the water, we saw some interesting cloud formation above the sea.
Ahhhh and later on the calming effect of the sun going down...
Hmmmm, it’s evening the end of a beautiful day.
Grrrr the stomach is asking for something. It's time to eat so we will meet again in the next post ...
