Road Trip!
Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. The kiddos and I decided to take a little break and go on a road trip. One of the places that we visited was the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE. If you have never been there it is really worth the trip. CNN Travel rates it as the best zoo in the world and USA Today ranks it as the 2nd best zoo in the nation.
Some of the exhibits that the zoo have are:
- African Grasslands
- Alaskan Adventure
- Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium
- Gorilla Valley
- Desert Dome
- Lied Jungle
- Kingdoms of the Night
And many, many more.
You can easily spend an entire day there. There are many places to eat, rest, and just enjoy yourselves. There is a train, a tram, and a skyfari if you get tired of walking. We took the skyfari, which is a fantastic way to see part of the zoo and its animals if you are not afraid of heights.
