I took the night train from Rome to Sicily. Arriving in Catania, I waited two hours for the transfer. Aci Castello is the small coastal village where I stayed, a quiet, beautiful place, still in the pre-season atmosphere. In Sicily, I signed up for the trips to a local Hungarian tour guide. I felt safer this way, because English is not spoken in Sicily as much as in Northern Italy. Specifically, there was a tourist spot where they didn't speak English at all. This was surprising to me. I visited Savoca, Taormina, Syracuse and Noto. Sicily is a very beautiful place. A mix of beach and mountains. Here you can go to the beach, go hiking, and enjoy culture. After a day of hiking, I just sat on the beach, meditating and listening to the waves of the sea. Here, both tourists and locals come and go until late in the evening. The locals are very relaxed about everything. The train is quite accurate. I would love to go back here again.
