The King’s Private House and The Marvelous Tree of Juniper.

in #travel7 years ago

Isn’t it strange that King had his own private house in the Palace ?
Yes, there was a king’s private house in the Palace Changdeokgung.

In Choson dynasty, king couldn’t have his own time without interfering by the history recorder.
All of King’s behavior and words must be recorded by the historians. They wrote king’s word on the paper as soon as king spoke and put this paper into the box before this paper being dried.

As a result of this record, Choson dynasty could have the most plenty of record in the world.
It meant that King couldn’t free and personal time, the historian followed and recorded even when King had enjoyed with this loving women.

The historians were so troublesome for Kings in Choson dynasty.
So King made a plot to leaving the historian far away from him as long as possible, while the situation was permitted.

His plan was building a private house in the Palace.
Palace was an official space, but house was not official house.
There would be no reason for the historians to enter into some one’s private house without permission.

King had built the house and didn’t paint the colors on the wall and the pillars like ordinary private house.
King could take a rest in this house without interference of the historians.

Sometimes it was strange why Choson Dynasty having the perfect system had been collapsed.

Anyway Kings of Choson dynasty had escaped from unceasing inference of their subjects. Their choice was the humble ordinary house. In this house they had lived as common people.

Then let’s look at the house.

There were some rare unusual stones on the ground.

The house was divided by two parts according to Yin-Yan philosophy as like ordinary other house.
It was very sorry that I could not take the photos of women’s place due to limited time.
I need to visit the Garden once more to take the pics of the women’s place

As leaving king’s private house, the various thought on the past came out from my mind.

The name of the gate was 'may long pleasure'.

Final course was the Juniper tree. The age of the tree seemed like more than 1000 years.
The tree was bent down, so I could not take the whole scene of the tree with ordinary lens.
I used wide angle lens.

What I have noticed about the palace besides it beauty is how high is the main building from the ground thus making the rooms neat because it is elevated more from the ground level.

The juniper tree indeed tell tales of its long past because of its appearance. @slowwalker
