Going for a hitchhike from Denmark to Eastern Europe in August, what should we do?

A friend and I, will go for a hitchhike from Denmark in Scandinavia to Eastern Europe. So far we have vaguely planned our route, with some places we might wanna check out:

We will mostly be wild camping with our hammocks (just bought a Hennessy Explorer Deluxe for the trip, yay!), and if not possible we will be staying at hostels.
We're both 24 years, I'm a crypto-freak and my friend is a outdoor freak. But both of us love party, fishing, hiking, urban exploring, experiencing new cultures, communities and so on! But we're open towards any suggestions.
What would you guys recommend us doing? Maybe we should hook up with some guys from here, drink a beer and talk about how to achieve world domination with blockchain technology?
Maybe you know some nice festivals between 6th & 27th of august?

There a music festival Untold but it's between 4-7 august.
Romania we're going for sure! 4-7 August is a bit to early, since we'll leave Denmark 5th of August.
I'm looking forward seeing the beautiful landscape, any where specific you think we should go, not plugged into our map?
We're actually invited to a Teknival (underground rave) in Romania with a guy from Reddit - I'm really looking forward to that!
I wouldnt miss Budapest to be honest. The whole city is a club. It is easy to hitchhike there and its cheap too. If you wanna know more about Budapest just ask. I am Hungarian and I know every bar and club, basically everyplace it worth to go.
