Visiting the Sun
I want to tell you about the unusually posh gift that my elder sister and her husband made to our family.
45 chic days, my daughter Kira and my Mammy lived on the shore of the most ethnic resort in the world - Batumi, Georgia!
All the month and a half we talked in the Viber, Kira and Mammy sent me photos. Now, when we met, I can see the glitter of their eyes, rave reviews and a piece of this magic, I hope, will be able to convey to you, dear Steemians.
My Mom fell in love with this city, and from the first day of returning misses its southern ease, the variety of architecture and most importantly - people as open and warm, as their city itself.
First of all, it will not go unnoticed that Batumi is a city of diverse and somewhere even contrasting architecture.
This is not accidental:
architects from all over the world are invited here to show their creativity. And, inspired by the warmth of the southern sun, delighted with the songs of the sea and the rolling of the Georgian speech, and enveloped in the fresh air of the Caucasus, foreign architects exploded with fountains of creativity, the fruits of which attract more and more holidaymakers in Batumi from year to year.
Architecture of the past, sculptures in the Renaissance style
Many of the photos are made by my daughter Kira, who has a special worldview, so the horizon is tilted sometimes.
Among this medieval sophistication you find yourself on an absolutely southern European street, with wooden carved fences and whole bouquets of flower beds!
Above all this ethnic and historical diversity modern skyscrapers rise, and they are not ordinary, but with their "zest".
This is not a hotel or a business center - it's just an apartment building.
European Batumi Square hospitably welcomed my beloved family
The city itself and, in particular, the most popular part of it - the Batumi Embankment, are full of sculptures, interesting both in themselves and their meaningful component.
Sculpture of two lovers on the beach of Batumi.
That's how this miracle fountain functions
On the picture below, in the background, an 8-meter metal sculpture "Ali and Nino". These two silhouettes of a man and a woman move very slowly towards each other, merge in the literal sense of the word in a kiss and diverge in different directions to then meet again.
The next photo is a monument to the Georgian alphabet

In addition to entertainment for the eyes, Batumi offers a great variety of walks:
On a bicycle-catamaran!
Playgrounds for babies ...
... and not only )))
If my Mammy is delighted with Batumi in all its diversity, then Kira has a favorite place - a Japanese park, created right on the Embankment.
She even discerned a small white heart on the bottom of the pond
The cuisine of Georgia deserves a separate post and even a blog! A little of photos for appetite
Local "pizza"))
And here is my beloved sister Alexandra, who so hospitable invited everyone to relax in the magnificent inimitable resort!
And these are my super nephews Anna and Andrea (in Ukrainian national dress)
Living in Ukraine, we mostly can not afford to travel abroad because of the cost of documents and the cost of the flight.
So this gift can not be overemphasized!
Thanks to Alexandra, her husband Robert and my Mammy for giving my daughter such an invaluable and important experience - acquaintance with another country, her people and the atmosphere!
Refreshed and inspired people returned to Ukraine!
All photos are made with different smartphones, tablets and iPhones, which obviously affected the quality of the image. However, this is also a direct confirmation of the lively nature of these photos.
If you are seriously interested, then I suggest you go to the link, where there are high-quality photos. And it is even better, no doubt, to visit Batumi and see everything with your own eyes and take it off to your camera.
