Referring to my previous two posts, although Wat Rat Burana is not a large temple, there are many beautiful buildings, awesome sculptures and interesting things to see.

One of the attractive buildings is the Meru (in the Thai language) or the Crematorium building which is where bodies are cremated. The crematorium is a brick building; i.e. the front features a pavilion with a castle-like spire for placing the bodies, while a connecting pavilion is located at the back for cremation.

The thing in the photo below is to transfer the coffin from the other building to the Meru. It’s decorated beautifully with the two golden heads of Nagas.

The bell tower looks outstanding. It’s for calling the monks to do their praying ceremony and meals.

The gables of the buildings have magnificent design and beautiful architecture.
