12th day of Srilanka's trip. Fish treatment, local market and Indian ocean🏝
Hi. A bit of fatique is present, as we’ve been quite active throught all days, however it’s the only way to see all the landmarks of the island. New morning was here and new adventures as well. After departing from our resort we headed towards (around 5 hours long bus-journey) southern part of Srilanka – COAST. City of Galle or destination for enjoyinng the last three days of the trip. Finally !:) Befere that, as usual we made some stops. At first we looked one of the rubber- tree plantation where the local guide presented us a way of secreting and processing rubber resign from a tree bark. Quite interesting!
Soon afterwards we did a short stop in the village, where greater marketplace is located. Local people were selling all types of vegetables, fruits, spices, fishes and other products after quite reasonable prices.
Soon after the lunch, carried out just by the highway station this time, a new adventure awaited us in the city of Balapatiya, actually on the river of Madu that runs through that city and where it flows to the Indian ocean. So, local boatman took care of embarking the boat which took us to water- safari adventure. It was gorgeous! ;) During the voyage we did stops on two smaller river islands. At the first one locals presented us the production of cinnamon and they offered a tea out of it to each as well. It’s really delicious. At the second one we had another livetime experience, since we could soak our legs in the smaller river’s pool containing fishes nibbling them! Such a good feeling.
Soon we finaly reached our holiday resort by the Indian ocean in the city of Unatavuna. We’ve been settled down in the Neptun Bay Hotel for last three days of the hollidays. It is located right next to the beach ! Awesome!;)
So today i’m finishing with my postings, as it’s time for relaxing and sunbathing !;) i hope you’ve enyojed reading and thanks for that !
