Culture and Travel impressions from Tunisia
Tunisia museum and landscape
It is time to plan the next vacation to a place of sun, hot weather and culture. To get prepared here some impressions from Djerba last year. I even managed to visit a museum to learn about culture on the island. The museum was quite empty but with a lot of things to learn. Name of it was musee du patrimoine - full of wonderful history and culture.
Two weeks I do not want to miss anymore. Wifey plans a trip to Turkey for March, Bulgaria in April but all not hot enough. In Djerba we also enjoyed a trip to visit old traditional Berber settlements to see how these people lived in the past.
The Berbers come originally from North Africa and there are lot communities across the region including Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya and Egypt to name a few. The Berbers name themselves Imazighen and speak various dialects / languages related to Ancient Egyptian. Nowadays the majority of Berbers live in Morocco and Algeria as well as large immigrant communities in Europe and Canada. The Berbers live a strong identity across different languages and heritage which covers their joined history in North Africa which is what they mainly unite in terms of collective identification.
Is not dengerous there? 😊
I am sure there is a place in every country where it is dangerous. :)
i had not the impression of any danger
I always to love to read about different cultures on steemit and the pictures are bonus for me, a thumbs up and a resteem from my side and looking forward for more upcoming blog posts.
Haha, do you wanna get burned? :-)
Burned is sometimes nice when you have enough Aloe Vera with you.
Haha, lassen die Damen Dich nicht? :-)
I'm proud to see someone write about arabic country , please next time write about moroccan culture by the way i'm from morocco
Glad to hear that - Morocco maybe but first I have to visit the country
such exotic places to visit ... I do love the desert except it can get quite hot in the summer...right now it is so cold here...desert sounds good.
Beautiful photos ..great to see this type of post
Thanks Rebecca - for me Hawaii or Cuba would be more exotic - depends where your base is :-)
enjoy!
if you want hot weather, culture and sun then Greece if you haven't already visit is the perfect choice. You can even combine it with Turkey that i saw you mentioned in March and visit Greece during late march or early April. ( First week of April is Easter's Holly week) so in terms of culture it would be the best trip. From Muslims and a whole history of ottoman empire to Christians and Greek empire!
good idea - been to Greece often but always worth a trip
