Worldwidetravel #7: Vietnam - Ha Long Bay

Located in northern Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province, Halong Bay features a mysterious landscape with a magnificent landscape of 1,600 large and small islands of limestone, bizarre but magnificent, in a vast area of 43,400 hectares. Because its beautiful landscape is similar to ink paintings, it is also called "Guilin of the sea" and continues to attract tourists all over the world. In 1994, it was designated as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Since being registered as a World Heritage Site, it has become a vibrant scenic spot where 2 million people visit from home and abroad every year. The islands are mostly uninhabited islands.

Ha Long Bay

It is approximately 3.5 hours by car from Hanoi and you can enjoy just a day cruise alone, but if you have enough time, you should definitely experience a tour of 1 or 2 nights on a cruise ship. A sunset over the horizon, a starry sky full of falling, a sea illuminated by the moonlight. The unique expressions of Halong Bay, changing over time and due weather, will never tire you seeing it! (Even if you look at it all day)

Dragon

Halong means "a place where a dragon fell".
It has been told that one dragon fell down and repulsed the enemy invaded this place.
The islands were once used as hiding place for pirates and were used as a fortress during the invasion of Mongolian troops.

Movie: Kong Skull Island

The movie Kong Skull Island was partly shot in Vietnam Ha Long Bay

So if you are planning to go to Vietnam for vacation, put Ha Long Bay on your list because this is absolutely a must see when you are in Vietnam!
