New York is a very large city both in population and area. It is a very important city in the history of the U.S as 40 percent of Americans can trace at least one ancestor to the New York port entry. It is also the largest city in the state and plays a major economic role internationally.

Visit the Memorial & Museum

The Memorial offers tribute to the nearly 3,000 souls who died on September 11, 2001, the 9/11 it was a very emotional moment for me and for the people there and I really recommend visiting the Memorial.

Enjoy the View from Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock is a viewpoint located in The Rockefeller Center. The top of the rock is in the 65th floor where you can see all of New York with a superb view. You can buy your tickets in the first floor and then take the elevator which only takes you 30 seconds to reach the viewpoint and enjoy the breathtaking view.

Central Park Bicycle Rental

Central Park is an urban park in Manhattan and it is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013. We had the chance to rent bicycles in the park and enjoyed biking all around the park, it was a pure pleasure.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Museum

I had the chance to visit the museum of immigration which was open since 1990 in Ellis Island. It is located in Upper New York Bay and was the nation's busiest immigrant inspection station for many years. It is a really interesting visit as you you learn so many things about the massive immigration that took place in the last century. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, it was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel. It is such a beautiful statue and its historical significance just makes it a very important monument is modern American history

Times Square

Times Square is a major tourist destination and entertainment center, It gets really busy and you will be impressed with all the activity and gigantic screens. It is a must visit as it captures the vibe of the city

Intrepid Sea, Air

USS Intrepid is an aircraft carrier built during World War II for the United States Navy. It was amazing to get to visit the inside of the carrier you were able to see where the crew lived and also aircraft replicas exposed on top of the carrier.

Space Museum

I found it to be an extremely interesting museum as I had the chance to learn about the U.S spaceships that went into space and got to see replicas that looked so realistic. I strongly recommend visiting the museum.

Walking The Brooklyn bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in the United States. I recommend walking the Bridge during at the end of the day as you will enjoy a nice walk while enjoying the view of the city and the beautiful light reflections caused by the sunset. It is not that long so you won't get too tired

Attend a Yankees Baseball Game

the Yankees are one of the best baseball teams in the world and attending a baseball game is a must especially if you are not from a country where baseball is a thing, as it will be a very unique experience. Make sure you visit the city during baseball season.

Eat a pizza at Di Fara Pizza

Di Fara Pizza is a pizzeria in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. Situated between the restaurant has been owned and operated by Domenico DeMarco since 1964. Di fara pizza is one of the best pizza’s you can found in new york so if you ever get hungry in New York, which you will, you should try it out.
