Fountain "Face of Man" and the Greek Park in Odessa

in #travelfeed5 years ago

In 2018, by the Day of the City of Odessa, the art zone of the Greek Park was opened. The place of rest itself attracted the attention of residents and visitors of the city with its beauty. But after some re-equipment, the park became even more beautiful, more amazing.

Fountain "Human Face"

First of all, we want to dwell on this next masterpiece of Mikhail Reva. The sculptor created a unique, in its originality and beauty, fountain - the Face of Man. This architectural monument was liked by rhinestones not only for adults, but also for children.

You just look at him! Appreciate the originality of the idea! On the head we see an amazing hairstyle. It is she who serves as the crown of the fountain itself. Water jets flow down from its edges.

Sculptures and rest areas

It is worth noting that the construction was led by the Greek Panteleimon Bumburasu. The design of the steam itself is made in the Greek style. Particular attention was paid to copies of sculptures of ancient works of art. In particular, here we saw Poseidon and three statues, the originals of which are exhibited in the famous Acropolis Museum. The sculpture of Poseidon adorns the Athens National Museum.

So, the park itself consists of three zones. The art zone, as already mentioned, was opened last year. In the spring of 2019, the entrance to the rest of the park was opened. There are: a nursery, an open-air museum and a park area.

The space itself is divided by walkways. They are beautifully lit at night, which makes walking in the dark just awesome.

In the children's area, children will always be able to find something to their liking. There are many attractions and other entertainment facilities and appliances.

Some personal impressions

Despite the fact that there are a lot of people around, it is still quiet and calm. In some places you can be alone with your thoughts. Many residents and guests of the Pearls by the sea love to sit in the shade of trees with a book in their hands.

A leisurely walk through the museum allows you to touch the history of not only Ancient Greece, but also Odessa itself. Do not forget that it was the Greeks who played an important role in the construction and development of the city. We have a street and a Greek square. Now we can also boast of a park.

It is always calm here. There are no quarrels and scandals in the park. Here people have a rest from everyday life and busy everyday life.

Come visit us! Moreover, we recommend visiting not only Odessa itself, but also many corners of our region! Each locality in the region will find something to surprise its guests. The history of the region has more than one thousand years. We have places and historical monuments that you cannot find in any part of the world! Our color will win your heart and you will strive to come to visit us as often as possible! I will say frankly: "Odessa and the region are the most amazing, wonderful and cozy corner of the World!"
