Travel discovery. Aesthetics me.

As a student of Architecture, I love travelling for many reasons, one of the main reasons are to find inspiration in the varied creations of culturally varied humans. I am always looking out for beautiful design, man made, or in nature, that please the eye.

A lot of the time we pass buy stunning design features that the creators spent many hours, days and months giving careful thought to strategically place objects and lines that resulted in aesthetically pleasing designs.

For that reason whenever I enter a building or a room, I cast my eyes around at 360 degrees to take it all in. I try to find vantage points up high and down low to give me a full perspective of my surroundings and the elements contained in them.

Doing so allows me to get a feel for what the intention was of the designer and allows me to appreciate all the effort and time that went into creating surroundings that are pleasing to all the senses.

In my humble opinion that is what makes good design. It should please the eyes, the ears, touch and feeling left long after you left the room.

I find lighting and clean building lines especially intriguing.

Careful thought to design has the ability to alter the spectator's mood and even generate strong feelings, which if done to perfection change lives. However subtle the environmental influences has on our lives, we have to concur it does indeed affect the way we feel.

If anyone and everyone realised the power that lies in our hands as co-creators, we would realise how important it is to create things of beauty that compliment the master creations we are blessed to perceive around us every day we open our eyes.

I will continue to explore my environment and take some photos of pleasing designs that make me feel something. If anything you look at does not make you feel something or stir the soul then it has no purpose.

Even minimilist agree that it is not the price of a piece of art or possession that matters, but what the object or possession makes you feel that is important to the growth and experience of your soul.

So, really it is ok to own "stuff" as long as that "stuff" makes you feel something.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." a true designer/creative is able to connvey the beauty they see to those who cannot.

Happy thursday everyone. Find the beauty around you.

This is a really great collection of shots. Love your ability to find the interesting angles.

@tipu curate

Thank you, I find I always try to take a pic of an interesting object by taking at an angle not usually viewed at. So I either lay down or from high up. it simply looks interesting because most people don't look at objects from weird angles. :-)
