Travel contest #13: Photo & Video Travel Contest
I remember the day I applied for ad hoc staff for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), where I was chosen to be a courier in distributing WAEC material for various schools in rural areas. There was availability of cars at their office, so I left early after I performed my Fajr prayer, and it's a long journey that I normally spend more than 2 hours. Although I called this journey a life experience because I had not been to this village called Lafiagi, but I only normally heard the name.
On the road, there were many things I saw; in fact, this was my first time seeing groundnut plantations where farmers cultivated for human use. Before I reached my destination, there was a big market called Gbugbu that they normally sell at every Wednesday, and I confirmed that their goods are cheap compared to what we buy in the city.
So, luckily, I reached my destination successfully, where I gave the writing materials to the WAEC representative. The woman was a nice person who gave us some money to buy food.
We left the bag that contain writing material with the hope that we would come back next day to collect it. When we continue our journey back to the office I was afraid because their are bushes left and right. The reason for this is due to insecurity that happens every where, when I finally reached office I thank God for successful journey.
