Hello friends, after a while I'm finally able to write here on the blog again. Unfortunately, I've had several difficulties in recent months, but fortunately I'm now back to normal, and so just on Sunday I took a trip to Arquà Petrarca, a place that may not mean anything to some, but which I actually recommend you visit because it is one of the most charming and romantic villages in Italy, located in the Euganean Hills in Veneto.

Walking through its streets, in my opinion, means immersing yourself in the timeless atmosphere where history, poetry and nature intertwine in an experience that in my opinion will make it very unforgettable, because this village is famous above all for having hosted in the last years of his life the great poet Francesco Petrarca who certainly found peace and a lot of inspiration here.

In fact, one of the unmissable stops in this place is his home which is still perfectly preserved and entering this house gives the impression of taking a leap into the fourteenth century. Unfortunately, on Sunday I did not have time to visit it because I had already visited it in the past, but it is a beautiful home with antique furnishings, allegorical frescoes and objects linked to the poet's life.

But of course, in the main square next to the church there is also his tomb, even though according to some studies, Petrarca's body is not actually there. Arquà Petrarca is not just culture, because in addition to being in unique architectural harmony made of stone houses, flower-filled courtyards, panoramic stairways and views that most likely seem to have come out of a painting, here near this village there is the possibility of taking slow walks because in fact there are numerous paths that wind through vineyards and olive groves and woods, and in fact the Euganean Hills offer routes suitable for everyone, both for those who prefer walking and for those who prefer cycling.

In my opinion, visiting these places is not just giving yourself a break but also slowing down and probably discovering a more intimate and poetic Italy. In fact, in my opinion it is a one-day stop certainly in a broader itinerary to visit the entire Veneto region but this village will certainly enchant you with its charm that has practically remained frozen in time.
