A Trip to Passport Office and Back Home

On 11th February I visited passport office for renewable of my passport. I went by bus but returned by RapiD Rail.

On my way back, I boarded the sleek Namo Bharat train at Sahibabad station, the doors whoosh shut behind me as we glide over smoothly on elevated tracks.

I saw zipping pass the 6 intermediate stations between Sahibabad and Meerut South on the Delhi-Meerut RRTS (Rapid Rail)

The route

Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, and Modi Nagar North.

The journey covers about 39 km and takes approximately 30-31 minutes.

The train kicks in at about 100 km/h within seconds.

The Ghaziabad skyline fades quickly, then the urban scene gives way to open views of highways and fields below.

We zip past Guldhar, a quick blur of platforms and commuters, then Duhai where the depot hums with maintenance activity.

As I cross Murad Nagar, spotting local markets and rivers glinting in the sun. The ride is whisper-quiet, seats comfy in economy class.

I saw Modi Nagar South's industrial zones roll by.

Modi Nagar North is next, a brief stop amid green patches and distant factories. Speed builds again, viaducts soaring over NH-34 traffic jams I'd otherwise endure for hours.

Meerut's outskirts emerge, Shatabdi Nagar whizzes past non-stop on this route, then I decelerate into Meerut South.

Exactly 31 minutes later, doors open at the modern terminal. Three platforms, massive parking for my scooter pickup.

What took me 2 hours by road while going in the morning, this seamless high-speed thrill, revolutionized my commute home to Modipuram. No worries but pure efficiency!
