Morning Stroll in the Park: Spring Showing its Signs

Today, I went to the park a bit late than usual, around 10:30 am. The sun was shining and golden, casting shadows on everything dancing like extending playful invitation.
In our area the spring has just begun showing us its colors, those first signs of renewal after winter's tight grip.

The air felt neither crisp, nor warm yet, but felt pleasant, carrying the sweetness of blooming flowers, a welcome shift from the dry chill of recent days. I could witness a couple of flies that were not to be found nowhere last week.
I started on the main walking path, a well-paved loop winding through lawns being manicured by workers and the trees dancing in soft wind.

It's my favorite route, about 800 meters long, with gentle curves that hug the park's perimeter. Today, there were no dry leaves but soft ones under my feet, and the walking path had another late elderly walker who nodded with a smile while passed through.
I missed the kids on cycles, though, but they will come after school like racers. Benches lined the edges, perfect for pausing to watch the nature. I claimed one briefly, soaking in the serenity.
As I strolled deeper, the flowers stole the show. Beds of flowers, some of them I don't even know their names, burst in vibrant oranges and yellows, their petals unfurling like tiny suns.

The creepers climbed, releasing a heady fragrance that mixed with the scent of fresh soil. I am sure the gulmohars will soon start to blush red, hinting at the fiery canopy to come.
I even saw a butterfly fluttering among the flowers, although I could not capture her. I felt a living painting of spring's arrival. I snapped a few photos with my phone, the colors popping against the clear blue sky.

The playground area buzzed with energy. Swings were silently waiting for children willing to soar high skyward. The swings always remind me of my childhood memories of endless spins under the similar trees. Even the bobbed with gleeful squeals, a reminder of simple joys.

Soon finishing my loop, I felt recharged, the sun going high, painting everything in brighter gold. Late visits like this reveal the park's magic in a new light. I will come back to discover how kids slide on a playground slide that consists of a brick ladder.
