Rain, Failed Power and Me

Sometimes even small things make you feel distracted. Like if it's too hot and there is no power supply.

For instance, I sat down to work, determined, but the heat pressed through the windows like a weight. The AC stopped as the power failed, just once, then longer and my focus .

My phone’s screen scrolled with unfinished tabs, notifications nudging like tiny alarms. I tried breathing slowly, counted to ten, but thoughts sprinted: errands, deadlines, the dry laundry yes, that's one important job during constant rain.

I stopped fighting and let myself notice the small things, the kettle’s distant clink, a bird on the sill, the sound of barking dog coming from outside.

The pause felt messy but to be honest I promised to start again after a short break. I somehow recorded this video but I am not happy. And when you get no chance to walk, travel or do your favorite things, you feel bad.
