SC-S30 | CineAtlas 60 Week 5 - Movement Scene “Elevator of Meerut North” |
My camera is registering the movements of the elevators and a person entering a Rapid Train Station. But basically the elevator is moving with others on it.

- I chose this location because I thought elevator of this metro station works and reveal shots change the audience’s point of view, which is what makes the moment feel cinematic. As always, the location is well placed on Google Maps as well on steem-atlas which makes it an authentic location and makes it useful for the audiences.

In this case both the object and my camera are moving in my film at Meerut North Train Station, Modipuram, India. I thought a simple 60-second structure by filming this like first few seconds I hooked with footsteps of this place to start with.
I wanted to bring cinematic feeling to create footsteps on a path, then a wide shot that shows where the path leads to. The direction of this elevator is in itself is a journey to give the viewers an idea in this film of what's going around.

A movement past the camera, followed by a rear tracking shot.
A person is on the elevator approaching toward his destination while my camera follows from behind.
A brief chase through a elevator to create urgency.
I felt the movements of my object should help tell my story effectively with its features:
Detail shot
Movement shot
Follow shot
Turning point
Slow reveal
Wide final frame

Summery:
I used first 10 seconds and started the walk so the viewers senses direction and purpose.
I used next 15 seconds adding a follow shot tracking to show the rhythm and environment.
I then used next 15 seconds for a chase-like burst, to give a turn, and change in pace.
Next 10 seconds I used by slow reveal, as moving past a bend.
Finally I ended on the full location or the emotional payoff of reaching it.

I thought it must bring a strong version with a mix of wide, medium, and close detail shots, so the place feels alive rather than just documented.
Conclusion:
Finally the person enters in the lift, my camera follows from behind, I hope this progression turns a simple location into a small journey, which is the core idea behind this cinematic movement contest. You can see my film's movement come from the camera and the subject both.
