SEC-S30W3: The things I am thankful for
Oh yes, as you said, 2026 has just started, but it has plenty of reasons to cultivate gratitude. In my case a few too many, as I have seen more ups and downs during the last few months from personal well-being and relocation from Australia to India, which was not so easy to adjust to, but thankfully I survived them all. Opportunities for meaningful work and growth sustain purpose and financial stability. In 2026,There are plentiful of reasons, I am thankful for.
One
I have just finished my long work stint in Australia as a project manager and am back in India, and I am thankful that I came to my native country. I feel returning to my native country after demanding project management is a profound blessing worth celebrating.
Reuniting or parting with our relatives, loved ones, and community is not easy but coming back to India fills my heart with warmth and belonging. After long separations, shared meals, parties and conversation recharge my spirit, far beyond all those professional achievement abroad.
I feel even if India's vibrant culture is a bit chaotic and the markets too busy, traffic a little too annoying but familiar street foods, and festivals feel like a comforting embrace. No more navigating Australia's sterile routines. Here, every spice-scents different breeze and temple bells reminds me of roots that ground our souls.
Back home, morning walks in local parks and cycling revives my fitness passions. I feel as if breathing in India's fresh familiar air, practicing stress-relief exercises, and enjoying local products from nearby farms and markets nurture my body and mind better.
Project management and its intensity drained me, but India's pace allows balanced family time, photography outings, and videography without feeling stressed or isolated. Don't you think you get financial stability that meets emotional fulfillment in our true home even if the money is less back here? Mental satisfaction is one big reason to be thankful for sure.
For instance, cherishing loved ones, spouses, children, and friends brings deep fulfillment in one's life busyness. These relationships offer unwavering support, fostering a sense of belonging. But when you part with them for a long time and are not so sure if you could meet them sometime soon, then you go into deep depression, but thankfully I came out of that with the help of Steemit. I must say, I'm thankful to Steemit for keeping me busy.
As a blogger, India's rich heritage sites, like revolt landmarks, spark endless content ideas for Steemit and Steem Video. Proximity to agricultural heartlands fuels my writing on local history, cuisine, and social issues without feeling different from what I felt back in Australia. I feel thankful for being back in my native country.
Two
To be frank, I was never a deep believer, but since I have arrived back and done a couple of religious trips, even if that was on my wife's request, trusting in a higher power provides me perspective and peace, even in uncertainty. I have started to believe that faith encourages gratitude for mercy and guidance, shifting focus from struggles to hope. I am thankful for this new feeling in my life.
After my retirement I have started feeling that everyday moments like a good night's sleep, colorful sunsets, or kind gestures from strangers spark joy. These small blessings remind me to appreciate the present. I have been walking long distances all my life, which helps good health, allowing daily joys like morning walks. I am getting more time for the same to reflect on vitality as a gift, especially after navigating through my past job challenges.

The meaning of gratitude is accepting and appreciating our existence and abilities. Many things we take for granted are not necessarily something others can do or experience.
Yes, living in a new place and being away from loved ones is not easy. Now you've returned to your hometown and brought with you many life experiences and beautiful memories. That's something precious.
India is a special country with a diverse culture and spices that have given birth to millions of culinary delights around the world. That must be acknowledged... although in terms of social context and public discipline, we all have many shortcomings and advantages, including in Indonesia.
It's a pleasure to read about the things and experiences you're grateful for in life. Good luck, Sir @dove11 🙏

In fact it was not a bad experience as I spent almost 15 years down under and I am not yet sure if I will not be persuaded to go back for yet another stint. But as long as I am here I am enjoying my stay. Thanks for your kind words/
Yes, I know! And that's what I meant to say: 15 years is a special time, and it's hard to say goodbye...
you are welcome, sir
Thank you @ruthjoe 🙏
Saludos y bendiciones..!

You are right! But it was not for the first time I came back during last 15 years and I am not sure it's the last time. As my company keeps pushing me back, I am not sure if they will not do it again.
Nunca se sabe amigo..!
I'm so glad you're back in your hometown. I feel the same way when I visit my relatives where I was born. That feeling of home, the sounds, the smells, the colors—they're always the same there.
I've been living away from my hometown for 30 years, and I miss it every single day. It's indescribable. I congratulate you on sharing this story. Big hug, my friend.
Many blessings.

Hi, @dove11
It's a pleasure to see that you've accepted my challenge, welcome! Here is your evaluation:
Nothing is more important than home and family, I have always thought so. I'm glad you had that spiritual openness, people always need to believe in something that governs our destinies to cope with uncertainty and be at peace in the face of what is beyond our control. They call it faith
Thanks for your kind evaluation and time and efforts!
