In My Case : The Great Bug Hunt Debacle

I tried my best but could not find a single butterfly or ladybug, as they go into hibernation during cold weather. I spent a lot of money on petrol trying to find even one, so I admit my failure.

Picture this: me, the famous macro photographer from the foothills of the Himalayas, armed with my trusty A56, zoom lens cranked to "Macro/Bug-eye" mode, and a heart full of Speem dreams.

My Mission?

Snap the elusive butterfly or ladybug in all its polka-dotted glory. Reality? A comedy of errors starring Mother Nature's cruelest prank. I visited parks and even the Agriculture university bur did not find a single butterfly but a Big Bee.

I started on my two-wheeler at 11 am, petrol tank brimming like my optimism.

First stop: the local park. No, nothing.

Just one shivering squirrel mocking me.

"Hibernate much?" I muttered, gunning the engine to the next spot, a wildflower patch by the highway. Nothing doing.

Wind-whipped leaves danced taunts, but no winged wonders. The petrol gauge is dipping faster than my spirits.

Undeterred, I crisscrossed from Phase 1 to Phase 2 and then on the highway all the way to the agricultural university like a bee myself.

I went everywhere—to the temples, fields, even that shady alley with the overgrown weeds, the prime bug real estate.

My wallet wept as the pump attendant chuckled, "Sir, bugs don't do winter road trips!" By 2 pm, I'd burned enough fuel to launch a rocket, yet my phone remained a barren wasteland. Not a bug, fly, or even a mosquito.

Just me, freezing my macro dreams off, realizing butterflies and ladybugs had checked into their cozy hibernation spas while I played fool's errand.

Lesson learned: Next time, no butterfly hunt during cold weather. Or maybe chase pigeons because they're always photo bombing.

Mission fail? The worst of all, this bee will fly off as I brought my phone closer. Yeah, just my petrol powered butterfly ballot saying "No" to winter whims. Who's laughing now? My dear fellow Steemians!
