The Journey I Almost Didn’t Take
For this last Christmas celebration that past I thought I wouldn't travel because I wanted to experience the celebration in school. The reason was that most of my friends told me they wouldn't be celebrating Christmas at home but where they are.
I buy to the ideas of my friends and told my parents that I wouldn't be coming home for the celebration even with the money that my parents sent to me for transportation I still told them that I wouldn't be coming as the celebration may not be fun for me.
At some point, I decided to travel home for the celebration, and I packed my luggage, but I still got confused about traveling. Part of me was telling me to travel and the other was telling me not to travel which I had to spent and extra day again in school before I finally embarked on the journey to my village.
From the beginning of my journey, it was fun all the way to my arrival at home. As I got home, I was highly welcomed by my loved ones, and to my surprise I saw changes that made me marvel at the development in my village.
The people who told me they wouldn't travel for the celebration started seeing them returning home for the celebration based on the good news that was spread all over my village. People from away came to my village to experience the culture and traditions of my tribe.
I was happy that I travelled home to see things for myself. Also, I was happy that I met someone whom is now a blessing in my life.
