Travel contest #11: My First Time Traveling Alone

The first time that I travelled was when I was just 10 years old. My dad said I should come over to his side since my mother would be travelling and I had nothing to do at my mother's side, my dad asked me to go over to his place so I could continue my education.

When I was told I would be going alone, I became afraid and began thinking about so many things like what if I got kidnapped, if I missed the road, or night meet me on my way going who would come to my rescue.

I felt a bit scared of travelling alone from my mother's place to my father's place for the first time. On the day of my journey, my mother took me to the motor park, put me inside a vehicle, and waited till the vehicle moved. Still, I was afraid of holding my bag tied, sitting calmly.

I faced some challenges such as; forgetting the address, carrying my bags from one place to another, and my emotions were high because I was norvous of myself and scared to communicate with people.

The lessons that I learned is that when travelling alone, ensure you have gotten enough information on where you're going to know, don't carry much luggages if it is your first time of going to the place, and be active throughout your journey which are what I have learned so far from travelling alone, especially my first time travelling alone to my dad place.
