Gold Coast, Australia - The Best Place To Be! 🌞🌊

in #travelpine7 years ago (edited)

Gold Coast is located at the most easterly point of Queensland, Australia. It is the most popular tourist destination in Australia and caters for visitors with all kinds of interests. I moved to the Gold Coast in 1999 and have lived here ever since. This city has become my home and here are the reasons why I love it and recommend as a must visit if you've never been!

Beaches - GC stretches along the Pacific Ocean and has over 53 kms of continuous beaches making it a popular surfing destination. You can watch the sunrise over the ocean horizon.

Climate - sub-tropical climate with around 300 sunny days every year and consistent temperature range of 20-30C all year round.

Wildlife - we have kangaroos and koalas, need I say more? Ok, and dolphins and whales and many more!

Whale Watching - every year from May through to November you can spot humpback whales and orcas migrating from the Antarctic up to Australian waters, where they give birth and then return back to Antarctic with their babies.

Q1 - was built in 2005, it was the tallest residential building in the world, with magnificent uninterrupted ocean views. You can hire an apartment at Q1 for your stay. There is an observation deck on level 77 and a SkyPoint Climb you can do.

Theme Parks - with 28 different theme parks and amusement parks you are sure to be entertained!

The Star Casino - if gambling is your thing, this place has you covered, from black jack and pokies to private VIP room poker.

Golf - we have 10 golf courses that are open to the public. In fact there are more Gold Coast golf courses per head of population here than anywhere on the planet, some of which are ranked top 100 in the country.

Shopping - we have a number of shopping centres including Harbour Town Outlet, Robina, Australia Fair and the newly renovated Pacific Fair, have shops ranging from casual wear, through to corporate and luxury boutiques.
