Powering-up 505 Steem.
Developing a power-up culture where powering up is praised and rewarded is far more efficient compared to frowning at a power down. Once we fall in love with Steem and Steemit, understand the concept, importance, and benefits of Powering up, it becomes all the incentives we need to regularly power up.
I have a 5,000 Steem Power objective for December 31, 2025. Though this objective will require a lot of extra effort, the drop in Steem price is an added advantage.
Today, I am powering up 505 Steem, a process that will take me ever closer to my goal, moving my current Steem power from 1,098 to about 1,603.
My Current Status
The Screenshot above confirms my current Steem power being 1,098 as indicated by the pink highlight, with some liquid Steem that is roughly 505, excluding the fractions, as indicated in the area highlighted with green.
How to Power-up
The power-up process would be impossible without the approval of my protective active key.
With the blessing of my active key, my wallet is ready for the power-up.
The Screenshot on the left shows me logged in, Username is @manuelhooks followed by a valid Active key.
I selected Power-Up from the Steam menu.
I selected steem balance to power up all the Steem. 505 and the additional fractions it came with, making it 505.001 Steem
Go through the confirmation screen, confirm the 505.001 Steem
I then selected ok
The new status now shows that the power-up was successful.
I have a total of 1,603.336 Steem power
To meet my target, I need to power up 3,396.664
Conclusion and Invitation
I believe in Steem and Steemit, so I invest in Steemit by powering up, saving my Steem as Steem Power and gaining better curation rewards that are proportional to my Steem Power.

manuelhooks, it is an inspiring power-up travel. I liked the fact that you were able to demonstrate every step clearly and how you gradually improved your SP of 1,098 to 1,603. I got to know that to believe in Steem is to invest in the long run. manuelhooks helps me to keep in mind how one can create a strong value by being consistent, patient and doing small things each and every day.
Congratulations for powering up and what you are doing now will be helping you a lot in future because now price is low and accumulating more power is a good strategy.
