i find most of the stuff on pouet and demozoo "made with UE" or "made with Unity" to be fairly underwhelming compared to what indie devs come up with
for instance
"made with UE" by "some frenchies i never heard of before"
if you're gonna use UE or unity ... instead of your own code, the bar is a lot higher to be impressive imo , specially today
but bem , as long as everyone's having fun in their own bubbles nobody's infecting the fake world they've created for you
im still not through and over the quality of the acting of the avatars here, the facial expressions and the montage exceed megatitles like stranded /2 by so much (stranded seemed really bad montage actually when i watched the vids if i were an actor who gave my face to that id be pissed like hell)
but expedition 33 ... not to mention the world would be totally like "this is a game Dali might have played ... doesnt look like Magritte or those Polish dark dudes ..." the lighting is fabulous, the textures are built to reflect everything right, the fog, the lens flares
and then the TOUCHING moments in the story ....
that's todays bar if you wanna demo with unreal .... that OUR opinion at least, its a lot more impressive if you're write your own claudeless stuff even if its less shiney with auto-sparkles from the engine but BEM
as long as everyone's having fun .... its not like the era is gonna last much longer, one way or another "the" a.i. will numb the brains and THE resource collapse will end "the" a.i. anyway
(or otherwise IT will take the world and then die out because there's no one smart enough left to maintain it)
