What Makes a Modern Hero? | #Travelblog #Ulog26 - ENCHANTED KINGDOM WANDERLUST!
Life is a connection.
A larger connection to the universe and to ourselves. We need each other in the process. But, I needed to ask myself a question before this one.
What makes a modern hero?
It is kind of a hard question for me. Since I have always love the concepts of superheroes, wishing their existence were real. But would so as with the darkest villains out there. But it is not about the Villain, it is about the heroes. The modern heroes I have to find out who for me.
Nowadays, cinematic superheroes are really outstanding. Great effects and powers are everywhere. Wearing these flabbergasting costumes and living with crucial purpose and motivations.
But apparently the world needs more than these 2D or 3D heroes. The world needs a real hero.
Some persons told me, If you are looking for someone that can make you happy, that can change you, that can protect you and that can save you no matter what, look at the mirror. The world, and even cinemas need a hero than can save us from ourselves. And if you need a hero, just simply look at the mirror and you will learn, that it is only us that can save us.
So to answer my question- What makes a modern hero for me are:
BE YOURSELF
– Cliché as it goes, and sometimes paradoxical, but this is just not being whatever you are for me. If I will become a hero for myself, It should be “Always be yourself, in a kind way.” Because I believe we can’t go wrong with kindness.
BE CONFIDENT
– This is almost a daily notion every people should do. It’s kinda cool to think, that you can trust and believe in yourself no matter how hard it is. Like some people will say, “Sometimes, ourselves could be our worst enemy” and yet, for me, “Ourselves should always be our most reliable ally.” Just like the old saying, “If you can’t trust yourself, who else will?’
DON’T SET LIMITS
– I just knew limits when someone told me about it. But before, when I was a child I could dream anything. Bigger each passing day, until I learned about limits that my dreams slowly fades and eventually I ended up believing I am not capable of anything, or becoming more than what I am today.
When I knew limits, I started to dream less each passing day and I set goal lower than it has been before - when it is so basic to know that setting attainable goals is very different from building up walls. Yet, it took me a lot to know the difference.
Be bigger than your walls, because you really are just before you build walls rather than bridges.
I think, my list must go on. But I guess above are the foundation. Between them are lessons we will all eventually learn as we take the path of our dreams set out of life’s challenges in a colorful spectrum of opportunities and chances just waiting for you the be taken.
It’s fine to be sad and low, but at least don’t waste the colors!
