cultivated plant can be established through sexual or asexual method.
1.! sexual Propagation: the term refers to reproduction of new plants from viable seeds or spore: produced by the plant’s natural reproductive system. This method is used mostly for annual and perennial plants Which do not require long growth periods, plants that cannot be reproduced by other means or for plants that are reproduced through hybridization

Some crops are propagated solely through seeds. e g maize, rice, cowpea, some by vegetative means e. g cassava. yam and some by both seeds and vegetative means. e. g onion, cocoa. coffee: e. t. c.
