Butcher Shop in Paris before sunrise

We woke early to walk to the Louvre museum. We tried to walk past the Presidential Palace, but a guard with a machine gun stopped us. We attempted to cut through the building housing the Paris Art show, but the well-dressed security forces laughed at us. The Louvre is surrounded by tacky souvenir shops, which are probably more engaging than old repetitious art.
