Maybe we're of the same age that's why I can pretty much relate with everything that you said. Though unlike you, I've set the timeline for reaching my goals at a 'relatively' later age, maybe that's why I'm not too hard on myself at this time (just turned 25 more than a week ago). I'm also an idealist by nature but experienced the harsh realities of life; hence, there's more balance with the way I'm thinking now.

In terms of your career, financial plans, and even love life, we're really on the same boat. Haha!

Anyway, like what I always tell people I know, be positive and don't be afraid to fail, though as much as possible, take calculated risks.
