Recently I saw a video on YouTube that reawoke and rekindled the need to remind Africans that We are self sufficient Giants. The Ghanian President in His impressive address to the World and most especially to the French President spoke about the need to cut of constant self-serving Western aid, what He didn't say in the spirit of diplomacy was what the aid presented to African countries represent and what in turn in terms of; liberty and sovereignty these African countries would forgo to secure those "special aid".

It has been a long standing tradition that Western powers that be get back stage passes and influence the political and social welfare of generally all African countries. They offer financial, military, technological and other material support for a 'fee', in most cases it a situation of 'you owe me favors' afterwards. Favors that set us back continually.

Well who is to blame? to be honest, the self serving Interests of the western world only key into the void and deficits available, caused by bad African leadership, corruption and greed. A poisonous & toxic post colonial continuity, bribes are shared, bad policies are put in place or the government turn a blind eye to the illicit activities of multinational companies seeking to enrich themselves off the backs of Africans.

It is no secrete that Africa is blessed with over a whooping 30% of the worlds natural resources so what gives? How many millions of Africans will continue to migrate to "greener pastures" due to the inadequacies of our governments? The sad part is the deficit in manpower equates to a surplus for Western societies which in turn equates to rapid development in an already developed society.

Greed is the mechanism that powers it all, the West wants to keep their World power status amongst themselves so they continue to tap into the vulnerable mentality of Africans in order to achieve those goals. Sadly the new cry in i.e America is "send those thieving immigrants back to their countries, they are criminals stealing our jobs and committing crimes" well a couple of hundreds of years ago it was "bring those hardworking immigrants into our country to build our work-force and strengthen our economy" it suddenly has reached a use and dump scenario, which should serve as a warning but as usual...

It's time for an awakening amongst we Africans, its time to foster development by our own hands, it's time we stop bad governance and the neocolonialism mentality that still runs our policies in the back ground. 60 years has been a long time, 60 years on, we as a society still go back and forth with political systems that aren't designed for us, we as a society still fall vulnerable to the whispers of foreign bodies. My cry remains for generations to come, we need to change it all.

Look within, get woke!.

interesting write up, i agree its time for us all to awaken, this would take a lot of work removing corruption and bad governance but it is possible

Very true and absolutely necessary, Africans need to unite to fight this scourge and rebuild first the mindset and next the continent collectively. Thanks for the comment. Thumbs up.
