„Obama Combo“ in Hanoi, Vietnam
Today I stopped by at Bún chả Hương Liên in Hanoi. The small restaurant where President Obama shared a meal with Anthony Bourdain in 2016. The restaurant now sells the „Obama Combo“, his menu from that day: Soup with meat, crab roll and a beer, for less than four dollar.
It made me very sad to think about the passed away Bourdain. At the same time it was inspiring to feel a tiny bit of the presence of these two gentlemen. Especially in the face of the vote in the States. I hope that America will make the right choices to leave the recent way of fear, hate, racism and oppression. To choose a leader, who will bring back hope, kindness, respect, curiosity, equality and democracy - as Barack Obama did.
