RE: Changing The Rules for Maximal Agility: Introducing Utopian.io Submission Guidelines & Policies
Another update and other difficult rules. I understand and you are right. But there are fundamental problems in the graphics category. First of all, people who are interested in the field of software sometimes do not know the importance of marketing. So they do not think they have the need for a new logo. Until we offer them a proposal.
80% or more of my proposals were accepted by Project Owners. Those who did not want to accept, back later and wanted their logos updated. Because, they are understand, realize that a logo can express them better.
However, new rules prohibit abuse as well as normal contributors. This means that the chart category is gradually dying. However, as far as I can see, at most 3 or 4 logos are accepted per day. For Utopian this is not a problem. Also for mods.
To be honest, I am openly writing. Do not get me wrong. I'm uncomfortable with the abusers. But I'm not sure this is the solution. As far as I can tell, it is possible to set a monthly limit for people who communicate too much with PO but have not received a return. and according to certain ranks these rights can be increased or decreased. In this way, people who will continue to make contributions and will not bother the Project owners.
Thank u for Utopian.
Hey @yasujizr
Forget the word "rules". These are guidelines, which you can follow or not. If you follow them you have higher chances to get an upvote from @utopian-io. That's pretty much it :)
You are still allowed to contact POs and do proposals. We could never stop that, as long as you don't do that on behalf of Utopian and with the sole intention to gain a profit from it. If so, no one will ever complain. Let's not forget our mission is to help Open Source projects, independently from the returns. I think we can all agree upon that :)
This is a nice idea, a bit hard to implement, but for sure something we can consider!
Thanks for your feedback.
Thank you, I apologize for the late return. I hope Utopian is the best for Open Source and contributors. :)
