My son's army unit was involved in the first gulf war. They received a series of vaccinations prior to deployment. One of the shots was an 'anti-chemical warfare shot' whatever that means in armyspeak. Within 6 months of the war's end and after his honorable discharge , he was found catatonic and naked in a neighboring city. It has taken decades of trips to the VA hospital for him to achieve a semblance of a normal life. It turns out that the anti-chem shot they received set their system up to react to normal insecticides to make a nerve-gas analog within the circulatory system that did the damage to the nervous system.
I am so sorry to read this. I was a govt contractor and saw many of my strong young friends deploy and come back wasted and sick even from the training camp where they get ready and get the shots. It's a well known misery.
If you have not already - try fb groups for vets regarding natural treatment for chemicals. There are some in there trying to detox the stuff out. Some of the stuff is actually not that hard to get rid of, and some is really hard or impossible. My prayers for your son's recovery and strength. He's lucky to have you.
