Up n' Over - SAAB JAS 39C Gripen at RIAT 2018 - By Steve J Huggett
The Swedish Airforce putting on a great display of the Gripen, quite remarkable a small country producing an aircraft like this when the UK doesn't do it anymore, The Typhoon Tornado and F35 are all joint developments.
RIAT( Royal International Air Tatto) 2018, was an incredible airshow some 8 hours of flying on a hot summers day and it felt like a marathon to photograph it too, but well worth it :)
You can watch some of the display on the link below

Yet another interesting plane that we don't get to see on this side of the pond. :( Maybe some year we can both travel across and goto an airshow on both sides. :)
Yeah, I do need to get over to the US. The only flying De Havilland Mosquito is over your side of the pond, haven't seen one in the sky since 1980's. :)
I was told there's 2 flying. One of them was at the Warbirds Over Monroe show I went to last year. They were supposed to have a ME262 this year, but it got grounded.
Really two, they need to loan the UK one lol. There is one under construction, guess that will be years away from flying. Wow a working ME262 can't say I've ever heard of a flying example anywhere. Shame it didn't get off the ground maybe next year!
Here's one of the pics - https://steemit.com/vehiclephotography/@hornetnz/de-havilland-mosquito-a-very-rare-plane
They are great pictures, defo miss not seeing one fly over here.
Interesting and pretty sick moves from that plane. Love it.
Cheers @juicyjules0202 :)
WOW great video. Can't find my socks .... :-)
maybe they are "leaving on a jet plane....." :-))
Nice shots. 8 hours of flying displays, what more could you ask for?
Thanks @samryan Maybe a lighter camera lol
I hear you. I always take a good strong monopod to airshows, those long lenses get heavy after a while.
Nice shot, F16's still look the business :)
