Today I am choosing the second picture "The Gossip", and will give my views on it.

It is said that women cannot digest their food unless they discuss it. Previously, this was because men would go to work, leaving women with nothing else to do. Therefore, they would often spend their time gossiping with their friends. However, working women are now short on time and don't waste their time gossiping.

This hobby of women is discussed worldwide. It is said that if you want to publicize something, tell a woman that it is very confidential and should not be disclosed to anyone. Then, watch how it spreads throughout society overnight.

Women have great difficulty keeping secrets to themselves. They often suffer from indigestion unless they discuss it with another woman. By writing these things, I don't want to insult any woman; rather, I want to convey that this is a divinely bestowed quality upon them; most women are naturally simple and innocent.

Even in 1904, this was no exception. In this painting, the artist depicts three women arriving at work, standing in a corner before leaving, undoubtedly gossiping about the shortcomings of a fourth colleague or the sexuality of a handsome man stationed at their workplace. And since the three women depicted in the painting are all young and beautiful, my second assumption is certainly more likely.

The artist has beautifully captured the three women's body language, attire, their intimacy, and their intense conversation. The close proximity clearly indicates their conversation about a deeply confidential topic.

It would be unfair to speculate or say more about this painting, because only the painter can tell the reality of the painting.
