Day dreaming

 

Annika is a young girl, she is 7 or maybe 8 years of age. She does not know herself how old she is because she was adopted by the couple who found her like a little baby on their porch completely wrapped in a blanket. The girl was very sleepy because of cold weather and her adoptive parents were very concerned about Annika, they prayed for her and were happy that she survived. They adopted a girl and gave her name Annika, that was a mother of young woman who passed away just a day before they found Annika. The couple thought that it was a God who sent a little girl for them and who knows maybe even the spirit of the deceased woman is in Annika.

The family was poor but very kind and supportive. They did everything to have warm house, there was always some food and they made sure that Annika has enough food and grew strong.

Annika felt this love and also wanted to give everything back to make her parents happy. She helped with keeping house clean and also to prepare some food with her mother and clean after the meals.

With time when she was getting older, her parents told that she was adopted but they love her very much too like their own child. Annika continued to be like any other kids, was happy had her friends and helped her parents. Often when she was having a little rest and some snack that she loved to do in front of fireplace. Lately she decided to start writing letters to her mother, she was not angry but she was curious about her and also about the reason why she decided to separate herself from her child.

Mother of Annika noticed that too, she was watching her daughter who with a piece of bread in her hand forgot about eating it and was just looking somewhere with her eyes empty eyes. Mother knew that Annika is in her thought about her mother, she was a bit jealous although she knew that Annika loved her like a real mother. Despite of that she had a feeling that one day she will grow up and leave and maybe to start searching her biological mother and she knew whatever Annika decides she will support her.
