Longing for granddaughter!

Hello my dear Steemians,
Today I wanted to write for this contest that is running by @solperez , here is the link if you are also interested:
Timothy was an old man and became 80 this year, despite of that he was active and was busy the whole day. He was carpenter and loved his work, because of his great skills he always had people coming to him for help. Many customers were poor people from his village and often they just brought some food from their farms. He had always fresh bread, milk and eggs, that was always something that people brought. When he had a big orders from rich customers they usually paid good and after the first order they remained his long term customers.
After living long and happy life with his wife, he couple of years ago lost his wife, after that he almost lost an interest in life. They did not have any children, he did not have time to think about that but now when he lost his wife he regretted that they did not have children. He had now only his tasks and responsibilities.
One day he received a letter from a women who he met very long ago when he was very young. He remembered her very well, because she was his first love. In the letter she wrote that after the separated she found that she was pregnant but she decided to grow his daughter alone. She grown up in a beautiful young women and married, she and her husband had a daughter. She also mentioned that her daughter and his husband died couple of years ago and she is now looking after her granddaughter and this is also his granddaughter and her name is Lucy, she is just turned 14 years old. She said that granddaughter also was told that there is her grandfather who lives without knowing about her. Lucy wanted to see her granddad and asked grandma to let him know about her.
When Timothy read it his heart jumped up and he once again felt what means to be happy. He immediately collected some stuff and was on the road to his granddaughter. As a little present he had an adventure book in his hand.
Finally he arrived, he carefully knocked on the door and soft gentle voice answered:
“Who is it? Come in, please”
The next moment the door opened and Timothy saw his granddaughter, he smiled and simply said:
“Hi, I am your grandfather!”

I can imagine how it feels when someone is lonely and how in a moment people get become the happiest person in the world when they find someone who belongs to your family. Maybe that is why I love a reality show "Long lost family" and it is amazing. That is why this painting immeditely made me to want to write. I am glad that you like my story too.
