The general secretary of the Organization of American States, Luis Almagro, urged on Monday to the international community to avoid that Venezuela become in Rwanda, where between 800 thousand and one million people were killed in 1994 while the world seemed indifferent to this barbarity.

Almagro make statements after publishing the past Sunday a video in that he assure that his words about military intervention in the country had been misinterpreted.

The head of the OEA said that a military intervention can’t be ruled out against the government of the president of the republic, Nicolas Madura, to put end “the misery of Venezuelan people.”

“Regarding a military intervention for overthrow the regime of Nicolas Maduro, we can't discard any option.” said Almagro.

He told clearly that always we must exhaust the path of the diplomatic actions and we must leave all actions open. That no option should be ruled out.

Almagro said that his objective is “stop the violence, stop the aggression and the repression.” Within the framework of the Inter-American Rights System and Public International Rights.

The Venezuela government has pointed to denounce Almagro to the ONU for “promote military intervention” in the country “attempt against peace of Latin America and the Caribbean” according to the statements of the vice president of the republic on twitter.

Almagro denounce members of the government of Nicolas Maduro to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

Sort:

He should not have back-tracked, he was right the first time.

People are dying of starvation, never mind the brutality and deliberately caused deaths...

I also beleive the world must not sit and watch, we must interfere on behalf of the people - help ensure fair elections and then get out.

Yes Sr, I live here and everyday is more hard for us, for example getting food is harder every day, the hyperinflation is unstoppable.

Is there a Venezuela community on Steemit, for you to help each other with upvotes?

If yes, let me know, I cannot do much, but even one upvote per day from large numbers of people here would help some of you

It will help me quite a friend, the current salary is $ 20 per month, but it takes approximately $ 200 to live monthly, it's crazy I try to live with what little I generate through these means, I am something new in this network.

I asked for help to find how you can join the Venezuela community. This is the answer sent to me:

The easiest way is to go on
https://www.dashnation.com/chat/
where he can join the Discord, and then he can go on the Dash Venezuela channel there.

I hope you find your way there (sorry, I do not use discord, so cannot advise you)
