The Legend of the Llorona
Legend has it that in a distant place lived a woman with her three little children. This family was doing very well, everyone was happy, and the mother loved her children very much. One day, on a winter night, a great rain broke out and something terrible happened.
That night, the father of this family returned after many years of having abandoned them. Without him, they had lived very happy, since this guy was always shouting and was always drunk, on the other hand, punished children without meaning as well as the Mother. The Woman prayed always for this man never to return, but unfortunately it was the opposite.
When this evil man arrived, he kicked the door open and shouted why he had not been received. The children, very frightened, hid themselves and the Mother, in order to defend her children, confronted her Husband, but unfortunately, the woman was beaten and fainted for several hours.
When she woke up, she looked for her children all over the house, but she found neither them nor her Husband. The Mother following her very scared search ran out of the house under the storm crying and screaming their names for several days, months, years, but never found them. One day, after so many searches, the Mother died of sadness, nothing was heard of the children either, and nobody ever saw them, their bodies did not appear or some sign of the man who took them.
